Recruitment · AI intake
DNA Recruit.
Consultants spent hours formatting resumes and writing job briefs. Now it happens inside the CRM, in under a minute.
- < 1 min.
- to format and summarise a candidate resume
- In CRM.
- where consultants already work
- Hours.
- of formatting removed from every week
The problem
Recruitment consultants are paid to talk to people. A large part of their week went on neither talking nor placing.
Every candidate arrives with a resume in their own format. Before it goes to a client it has to be reformatted, summarised and made consistent with every other candidate in the shortlist. Every new role arrives as a conversation that has to become a written brief.
Both tasks are necessary. Both are slow. Neither needs a consultant’s judgement for most of their duration.
What I built
AI job intake and resume processing, built inside the agency’s CRM rather than beside it.
The second half of that sentence is the whole design. There were tools that could summarise a resume. Using them meant leaving the CRM, uploading a file, copying the output back and filing it. That is not a time saving, it is a different chore, and consultants quietly stop doing it.
So the processing happens where the work already happens. A resume lands against a candidate record and comes back formatted and summarised. A role conversation becomes a draft brief. The consultant edits rather than types.
The result
A candidate resume is formatted and summarised in under a minute.
The hours that went into formatting go back into the part of the job that actually places people. Adoption held because nobody had to change where they work to get the benefit.
